The decoration of the cottage was absolutely charming, with cozy wooden furniture and beautiful traditional Finnish patterns. It felt like stepping into a fairy tale! The common areas of the hotel were also very well-maintained and accessible for senior people, with wide hallways and comfortable seating areas. It was easy for me to navigate around and relax in the communal spaces.
I would have appreciated if the children working there were a bit more attentive to the needs of senior people. Just a small improvement in their service would have made the vacation even more enjoyable for us.

I had a wonderful stay at a camping in Laplandia. The house I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and had plenty of facilities. I loved waking up to the bird feeder right outside the window and watching the birds and squirrels while enjoying my morning coffee. The camping also had a beautiful lake where I could go boating for free, and I even had the option to take a bike. The evening atmosphere with the garlands on the trees was enchanting. The friendly staff made sure I had a fantastic experience.
The mattresses and blankets were a little old, but still clean.

The cottages at Ounasloma Luxury Cottages were absolutely amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed, including an oven and microwave, making it easy to cook our own meals. The private bathroom with a bidet was a luxurious touch. We loved the free WiFi, fully equipped kitchen, and the private sauna - perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Some units even had a terrace or balcony, giving a great view of the surroundings.
Personally, we found the bidet in the bathroom to be unnecessary, but we understand that others might appreciate this feature.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with a greater variety of options.

the cottage was spacious and well, equipped with a fantastic kitchen, bathroom, and sauna. the location was unique, offering a true Finnish countryside experience. the friendly staff took great care of us, and we were even welcomed with a personal name sign. Despite visiting in mid, winter, the cottage was well, heated and had a cozy open fireplace with plenty of wood.
It was an exceptional experience and I only wish we could have stayed longer. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like.

We had an amazing time at Ounasloma. Our stay lasted for 5 days, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location, nestled in a peaceful forest with a flowing river, was absolutely stunning. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the well-stocked bird feeders to the stacked wood for the fireplace. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and we immediately felt at home. With an amazing private beach just a stone's throw away, I basked in the sun on the sandy shores of Lake Ounasjärvi, feeling like I was on a tropical getaway in the middle of Finland. The peacefulness of the surroundings was simply unparalleled.
Headroom upstairs was limited.

The cabins in this beautiful part of northern Finland were very comfortable and well equipped. We loved the two-floor setup with a balcony upstairs, offering great views of the surroundings. The area was nice and quiet, providing a peaceful retreat. The complimentary amenities like bicycles and rowboats were a fantastic bonus, allowing us to explore the nearby lake and enjoy the natural beauty.
One issue we encountered was the lack of mosquito repellent devices or lamps, as we had a few uninvited mosquitoes come in when we opened the door. It would have been useful to have some form of protection against them.
